History:
Deluxe SRS is an exciting new branch under the Deluxe umbrella. Deluxe SRS (previously Sound Rehearsal Studios) has been a base for musos of the south east for nearly 25 years. With our rehearsal studio experience, having run the “old troy rooms” on our premises in South Melbourne for over 15 years, Deluxe provide some of the highest quality soundproofed rooms in Melbourne, along with top of the line PA systems and expert knowhow. Our South Melbourne operation is still in full effect – we aren’t moving, this is simply an extension of what we do.
Rooms and Facilities:
We have 16 Rooms in total. Deluxe SRS offer two tiers of rooms. In our two large rooms we offer a professional Deluxe approach. They’re equipped with two Meyer MSL 3 Dual 12″ + Horn speaker boxes and powered by Crest Audio 8002 amplifiers. This is the same PA specifications as our rooms in South Melbourne. Our 14 Small Rooms feature newly upgraded PA systems with each room setup by own Audio Technicians for the best sound possible. If you don’t need monitors, this is the room for you. If you do, just ask. We can add a pair of wedges for $10. Deluxe SRS Moorabbin is fully licensed, so you can kick back with a brew on your session break or during your band meeting. Best of all, you can book online and manage your rehearsal bookings with our Skedda booking system.
Live Recording Available:
We have Yamaha 16-channel mixing desks in all of our rooms with USB recording out, so just bring your laptop with Pro Tools and away you go.

Vox AC30VR guitar amp: $15 session rate.
Line 6 HD147 head and cab: $15 session rate.
Marshall JCM900 head and cab: $15 session rate.
Ashdown MAG500 bass head and cab: $15 session rate.
Cost of rooms and special deals:
Deluxe Large Rooms: Tuesday – Thursday: $80. Monday & Friday: $70. Saturday & Sunday: $70.
Regular Rooms: Tuesday – Thursday: $70. Monday & Friday: $55. Saturday & Sunday: $55.
Solo/Duo Rate: $25 per band member with two members maximum. No pre-bookings allowed for solo rate, walk-in only.
Parking and loading available:
We are located on Cochranes Road, a busy main road surrounded by South Road, Dandenong Road and Chesterville Road. Unlike our parent rehearsal facility in South Melbourne, parking at our Moorabbin facility is much more readily available. We have ten customer car parks directly out the front with a double garage loading bay. There’s also over 50 free public car parks in the median strip of Cochranes Road.
Gear Storage:
Deluxe SRS currently have 12 storage lockers at the rear of the complex. Due to the extreme demand, it’s highly recommend that you shoot through a message if you are interested in a place on our waiting list. The storage rooms vary in size and are billed a month in advance at $80 per month.
Extras:
Pinball machines, Big Buck Hunter, pool table, $15 pizzas, $5 beers, $8 spirits every day. We also have Remo drum heads, Vic Firth drum sticks, Ernie Ball strings, guitar and drum accessories and much, much more in stock at our pro shop.
