Tell us about the first gig you ever played? In 1958, at the Sandringham Lifesaving Club, on the beach playing ‘50s rock. The band consisted of two guitars, tenor sax, piano, bass and drums. There were three schoolboys, the local butcher on sax and the local printer on drums. We played covers of Little Richard, Chuck Berry and Jerry Lee Lewis.
What instrument do you play, and how long have you been playing? Piano, which I have played for the last 60 years.
What do you love the most about playing live? Communicating with fellow musicians and interacting with the audience.
