After debuting in London, the exhibition is set to come to Melbourne for an Australian-exclusive showing.

It’s so easy for us city folk to forget our world is vast, beautiful and teeming with life. If you can’t get out for a hike in the bush, a nature documentary is the next best thing. It gives us a little perspective and reminds us of all of the other beings we share this world with.

Those craving a little taste of the Great Outdoors are in luck. Melbourne is about to become the second city in the world to witness the BBC Earth Experience – a massive, immersive display of footage of the natural world taken from the prairies of North America to the jungles of Asia.

Using digital projection technology, the exhibition will showcase clips from the award-winning BBC Studios Natural History television series Seven Worlds, One Planet. Let the heartwarming voice of Sir David Attenborough himself beckon you through the self-guided Melbourne tour, telling spellbinding stories about the fascinating plants, creatures and geography of the seven continents.

“Sir David Attenborough is a global treasure, and the BBC Earth Experience marries his message about the challenges nature faces in today’s world alongside the world’s most incredible footage. Victorians and visitors to the state are in for a real treat,” says Live Nation Australia Vice President of Touring Luke Hede.

From penguins huddling together on the ice to fireflies putting on their nightly performance in the sky, the exhibition will explore some of the most wonderful happenings on our earth.
