St Kilda Festival 2027 is locking in its lineup of community acts and food vendors, with applications now open for anyone keen to get involved in one of Melbourne's biggest free events.
The festival returns to the St Kilda foreshore on 20 and 21 February, and organisers at the City of Port Phillip are on the hunt for community groups and itinerant traders to fill out the program. With around 350,000 punters rocking up each year, it’s a decent platform for getting your thing in front of a crowd.
The Community Group Activation Program gives local groups a spot on Big Festival Sunday, backed by major partner Community Bank Elwood.

Past editions have featured everything from medieval combat displays to pop choirs, fishing groups and street parades – so there’s room for just about any kind of act or activity you can dream up. Community group applications close at 5pm on 7 October.
Food and market traders looking to set up shop at the festival have until 5pm on 19 October to get their expressions of interest in. The festival positions vendors as crowd magnets in their own right, so it’s a solid opportunity to put your business in front of a massive summer audience. On top of the foot traffic, participants also get a boost from the festival’s marketing push across social media and local media coverage – not a bad deal for a free community event.
