Australian grand heritage hotel The Hotel Windsor will once again host SPRING1883, housing a selection of contemporary artworks under one roof in an exhibition like no other.
Returning for its fifth year, SPRING1883 will feature artworks from DUTTON (New York), Roslyn Oxley9 Gallery (Sydney) and Blockprojects (Melbourne) amongst a huge lineup of revered galleries, transforming the hotel into a multi-storey installation.
“Audiences and collectors enjoy exploring four levels of the majestic Windsor Hotel, discovering cutting-edge contemporary art behind each door,” says SPRING1883 co-founder Kate Barber. “A selection of galleries will be displaying performance art events and site-specific installations in a luxury hotel environment. Something that couldn’t happen in a traditional white cube context.”
This year will mark the first time art enthusiasts can indulge in the full experience with a luxury package including a three-night stay in a Superior King Room, a bottle of Pommery champagne and exclusive access to the VIP SPRING1883 preview and artist after party.
