Don Toliver, Jhené Aiko and Vince Staples are set to headline Australia's premier R&B festival, Souled Out, as it returns for its second year following a successful debut in 2024.
The festival will tour three major cities in February 2025, bringing a robust lineup of contemporary R&B artists to stages in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.
Toliver, who has dominated Australian dance floors with his distinctive sound, will share top billing with Jhené Aiko, widely regarded as one of R&B’s most influential voices. Actor-musician Vince Staples rounds out the headline acts, marking his anticipated return to Australian shores.

The festival’s ambitious sophomore year lineup demonstrates a commitment to showcasing the breadth of modern R&B, featuring established artists including 6LACK, BLXST, and Mariah The Scientist. Rising star Kaash Paige will also join the roster, alongside Australian talents Larissa Lambert and SAHXL, who will represent local R&B on the main stage.
In a significant expansion from its debut year, Souled Out 2025 will introduce a second performance space dubbed the Soul Party stage. This dedicated dance area will feature sets from international DJs including Jarreau Vandal, S!rene, and Rosey Gold, offering festival-goers an alternative space for continuous music.
Festival co-founder Emal Naim points to the overwhelming response to the 2024 event as evidence of Australia’s appetite for R&B-focused festivals. “The success of Souled Out 2024 showed Australians we’re craving for a modern R&B festival, so we’re here to stay and we can’t wait to keep feeding this vibrant community of R&B fans,” Naim said.
The festival has partnered with live music discovery platform Whatslively, which will provide marketing and technological support. The platform’s users will have early access to tickets through its concert tracker app.
The tour will begin at Melbourne’s Caribbean Gardens on 22 February, before moving to Sydney’s Parramatta Park on 23 February, and concluding at the Brisbane Showgrounds on 28 February.
Pre-sale tickets will be available from noon AEDT on 18 December, with general sale beginning 24 hours later. Festival organisers have encouraged fans to sign up through the official Souled Out website or download the Whatslively app to secure pre-sale access.
The announcement comes as Australia’s festival landscape continues to evolve, with Souled Out establishing itself as a significant player in the country’s summer music calendar. The festival’s focus on modern R&B fills a notable gap in the market, providing a platform for both international acts and local talent in the genre.
