Souled Out festival's highly anticipated 2025 return has been cancelled, marking another blow to Australia's festival landscape as organisers cite ongoing market challenges and insufficient support.
In a statement released today, the Souled Out team announced the sudden cancellation of their nationwide festival, which was set to bring a stacked lineup of R&B heavyweights to Australian shores next month.
“Despite our best efforts, the event did not reach the level of support needed to remain financially viable,” the team shared in their announcement. “Like many festivals, we have faced ongoing challenges in the current market. After exploring every possible option, we’ve had to make the tough call to cancel this year’s edition of Souled Out.”

The festival was poised to showcase an impressive array of talent including Don Toliver, Jhené Aiko, and Vince Staples. The expanded 2025 edition would have featured a second performance space, the Soul Party stage, hosting international DJs and providing continuous beats throughout the day.
All ticket holders will receive automatic refunds via Oztix to their original payment method, with the organisers advising punters to reach out to [email protected] if refunds haven’t been received within 14 days.
In a heartfelt message to supporters, the Souled Out team encouraged ticket holders to reinvest their refunds into Australia’s live music scene: “We encourage you to use these funds to continue supporting live music and festivals across Australia. Your passion and commitment help keep the culture alive.”
The cancellation follows a string of recent festival casualties in the Australian market, highlighting the ongoing challenges faced by promoters in the current economic climate.
