Palace Penny Lane Rooftop Cinema have gone the extra mile when it comes to the movie-going experience. Their sky high Piper-Heidsieck lawn is the perfect place to watch the sun dip below the Moonee Ponds skyline, glass of world-class Champagne and handmade choctop both begging to be devoured.
You can expect all your favourite cinema snacks from the rooftop bar, like Palace’s iconic olive oil popcorn, plus a specially curated wine and craft beer menu that’s to die for, as well as signature cocktails and even delicious mocktails.
Hot tip: get down (or, in this case, go up) early to soak up the immaculate summer vibes before the film gets on its way. Screenings begin each night at 8.45pm or 9pm, depending on when the sunset sinks down below the horizon and stops stealing the show. Then, grab a seat under the stars, settle into the open-air cinema, and let the silver screen do the talking.
