The exhibition presents eight new and large-scale works in the form of ngatu (Tongan barkcloth paintings), which narrate powerful stories of migration and patterns of connection across Oceania.

The ngatu have been produced by the artists in collaboration with the women of Haveluloto village on Tonga’s Tongatapu Island using traditional techniques, with the largest of the works spanning a monumental 24 metres in length.
