The Cactus Channel have released their latest tune, Storefront, a slow-burning jam that’ll have you dreaming of long nights and sunny afternoons.
It’s the latest taste of their new album Stay A While which sees the Melbourne group move away from their original soul and funk roots and into something darker, heavier and woozy. Think Menahan Street Band by way of BadBadNotGood and you’re on the right path.
The new track also sees the band’s own Lewis Coleman stepping up to lead vocals, offering a new dimension to the Cactus sound.
It’s been a wild ride for The Cactus Channel the last year, teaming up with Nick Murphy (fka Chet Faker) for a single, as well as a groundbreaking collaborative EP with Ball Park Music.
Check out their new sound below. It’s an absolute vibe.
