Simon Brodkin brings his stand-up show to four Australian cities in 2026.
Few comedians can say they’ve made international headlines by showering a FIFA president with fake cash.
English comedian Simon Brodkin is bringing his stand-up act to Australia for shows in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Perth across June and July. Brodkin has built a reputation as one of the UK’s most unpredictable performers, known equally for his razor-sharp crowd work as he is for stunts that have landed him on front pages worldwide — from tossing counterfeit dollar bills at then-FIFA boss Sepp Blatter to handing British Prime Minister Theresa May a mock P45 dismissal slip during her own party conference speech.

Simon Brodkin’s 170-date international Screwed Up tour was extended four times to meet demand, taking in three sold-out nights at London’s Hammersmith Apollo and a performance at the Royal Variety Performance. A recording of the show subsequently became the most-viewed UK comedy special to debut on YouTube. Beyond the stunts, Brodkin originally trained as a doctor at the University of Manchester before pivoting to comedy around 2004, creating characters like the brash Lee Nelson and clueless footballer Jason Bent, which spawned three BBC Three series.
Brodkin also stormed the stage during Kanye West’s Glastonbury headline set, disrupted a Volkswagen press conference over their emissions scandal, and somehow talked his way onto the pitch at Goodison Park to warm up with Manchester City’s squad before a Premier League match. He was recently signed by major talent agency UTA to expand his international touring footprint. The Australian dates are presented by Dainty, with the Melbourne show landing at The National Theatre on 3 July.
Tickets go on sale to the general public from 10am local time on 20 February, with a Dainty presale opening from 10am on 19 February via tegdainty.com.
