After making its Australian premiere in Sydney in January to rave reviews, Shrek The Musical will make its way to Melbourne this month.
The Broadway smash has been racking up award nominations since debuting in 2008, including eight Tony Award nominations and a Grammy nomination for Best Musical Show Album. Now, the multi-million dollar musical makes its way to Melbourne.
Based on the Oscar-winning DreamWorks film, Shrek, this special production sees the tale of your favourite ogre come to life on stage in a flurry of laughs, dancing and lots of green body paint.
Featuring 19 songs and all your favourite fairytale misfits, Shrek The Musical is bound to have you singing along with Shrek, Fiona and Donkey as they embark on a bumpy quest for true love.
Shrek The Musical comes to Her Majesty’s Theatre on Sunday February 16. Tickets are on sale from Friday February 7.
