Beloved Budgewoi trio Short Stack have announced a headline tour celebrating the 15th anniversary of their iconic debut album, Stack Is The New Black. Set for June 2025, the 15 Years of Stack Is The New Black tour will see Short Stack perform their debut album in full, bringing fans a nostalgic pop-punk experience across five cities.

The tour kicks off at The Tivoli in Brisbane on Friday 6 June and travels through Sydney, Adelaide, Melbourne, and Perth. Fans can expect a full-throttle celebration as Short Stack performs hits from Stack Is The New Black, which shot to viral fame in 2009 with singles like Sway Sway Baby!, Shimmy A Go Go, and Princess. The album’s infectious energy helped it achieve gold certification, making it a pop-punk staple.
Short Stack, who rose to prominence in the 2000s, have earned accolades like Channel V Oz Artist of the Year (2008 and 2010) and Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards Fave Aussie Band (2010). Their four #1 albums on the ARIA Australian Albums chart, including their 2022 release Maybe There’s No Heaven, highlight their lasting appeal.
After their reunion in 2020, the band continued to push creative boundaries, culminating in Maybe There’s No Heaven. The trio’s latest singles, Shotgun Wedding and IDGAF, along with their electrifying performance at Good Things Festival 2023, have further cemented their place in the Australian music scene.
Short Stack’s 15 Years of Stack Is The New Black tour will begin on Friday 6 June at The Tivoli in Brisbane, followed by Saturday 7 June at Liberty Hall in Sydney, Friday 13 June at The Gov in Adelaide, Saturday 14 June at Forum in Melbourne, and wrapping up on Friday 20 June at Astor Theatre in Perth.
