This January 26, Share The Spirit Festival is celebrating the survival of Australia’s First Nations people with a day of live music, art, dance and culture, showcasing the incredible and diverse talent of the Aboriginal arts community.
Happening as part of Arts Centre Melbourne’s Live at the Bowl outdoor concert series and presented by Songlines Aboriginal Music Corporation, the event will feature performances from Uncle Archie Roach, Uncle Kutcha Edwards, Alice Skye, Allara, Andy Alberts, Boorook, Dave Arden, Kee’Ahn, Key Hoo, Monica Weightman, The Merindas and Djirri Djirri Dancers, co-MCed by Shelley Ware and Shiralee Hood.
The all-ages event will be drug and alcohol-free, with free entry – though due to COVID-safe capacity limits, pre-registering your attendance is essential.
The state’s longest-running Aboriginal music festival, Share The Spirit was launched over a decade ago to highlight Indigenous artists from across the country while celebrating the resilience and strength of First Nations people.
Moving from its traditional home at Treasury Gardens to Sidney Myer Music Bowl as part of an exciting new partnership with Arts Centre Melbourne, this year’s Share The Spirit Festival is an all-inclusive event not to be missed.
