Melbourne creative powerhouse Sensible Antixx have officially launched their own independent record label, Sensible Antixx Records.
“This isn’t just about dropping tracks,” says founder Antony Attridge. “It’s about creating a home where artists can be raw, real, and unapologetically themselves. Music is evolving, and this label is our way of owning that shift and leading it.”
The new artist-led label, founded by multidisciplinary artists Antony Attridge and Kristina Hood, positions itself as more than just a music company – it’s a movement built on authenticity, artistic freedom and boundary-pushing innovation.
Sensible Antixx Records emerges as a bold, DIY-rooted alternative to the status quo, with the duo bringing their experience in event programming to the label world. The outfit previously carved their own lane in the underground scene as independent promoters, establishing successful event series including Sensible Soirees and Any Rhythm Sunday.

Acclaimed docos to artist-led labels
Beyond events, Sensible Antixx have already demonstrated their commitment to documenting Australian music culture. In 2023, they released the critically acclaimed hip hop documentary Burn Gently, which screened theatrically around the country including appearances at Splendour in the Grass and Arts Centre Melbourne before landing on SBS on Demand.
The label promises artist collaborations spanning several genres and operates in what they describe as an “artist-friendly capacity.” While the full artist roster is yet to be announced, Sensible Antixx Records aims to focus on diverse, cross-disciplinary talent ranging from spoken word innovators to experimental producers and genre-fluid vocalists.
Attridge, who also performs as independent artist Antixx101, has emphasised that together with Hood, they’re aiming to challenge convention and redefine what a modern label can be.
Sensible Antixx Records joins a growing movement of artist-led labels in Australia focusing on community, collaboration and creative freedom, offering a platform for boundary-pushing music and culture that refuses categorisation.
The announcement arrives after years of groundwork in the live music space, with upcoming releases, events and collaborations expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
