Screaming Females announce 2019 national tour

by Saskia Morrison

For the first time since 2016.

Screaming Females have today announced their return Down Under for a national tour off the back of their seventh LP, All at Once. It’s been almost three years since the band last toured in Australia, with fans eagerly awaiting their long-anticipated return.

Known for their furious and rampant live shows, these Australian gigs will be no less spectacular. You can expect frontwoman Marissa Paternoster to unleash her guitar-wielding prowess on stage, a talent that has earned her a spot in SPIN Magazine’s Top 100 Guitarists Of All Time list.

The band launched from the New Jersey underground scene to the world stage shortly after the release of their 2012 record Ugly. The album was produced by Steve Albini, known for producing records for other alt-rock greats like Nirvana, The Pixies and The Breeders.

Their latest LP, All at Once, is both ruthless and evocative and is sprawling with experimentation. Featuring a guest stint from Fugazi’s Brendan Canty, the album is a powerful homage to their punk roots.
