Sanfona, will perform a 1 hr set at the Maurocco Bar, followed by a 1 hr jazz jam session at the Maurocco Bar in Castlemaine on Saturday 31st January, 2026, 1 – 3pm, with the event being organised by the Castlemaine Jazz Jam Organisation.
Hailing from Melbourne Sanfona blend French and jazz styles, exploring original arrangements and compositions inspired by European artists. Sanfona have been featured on radio jazz shows such as 3PBS: ”Global Village”; Joy FM “Bent Notes” and 3CR: “Swing’n’Sway”. Their music is a unique mix of gypsy jazz, bebop, funk, and contemporary jazz, creating both high energy grooves, and soothing harmonies. Be transported to a Parisian jazz club with Sanfona!
