Sampa took out the highly coveted prize, winning a headline show at The Corner Hotel as well as a pressing of 150 copies for a limited edition run of vinyl, a cash check for $2,000, rehearsal time at Bakehouse Studios and exclusive mentorship from a prominent Australian label.
Melbourne locals Gold Class also made an impression on the judges, scoring a month-long artist in residence slot at Bakehouse.
