Stop everything – AC/DC have added more tickets for their Australian tour.
The legendary rock band AC/DC announced their Power Up tour earlier this year, marking their first Australian homecoming in a decade. When tickets for the Melbourne Cricket Ground show on November 12 originally went on sale, the demand was so overwhelming that promoters immediately added a second and final date on 16 November. Both shows are now on sale through Ticketek with new tickets just added, although punters better move quickly as these production releases are strictly limited.
After conquering Europe with two million tickets sold across 24 shows and smashing through 10 sold-out North American dates, AC/DC are finally bringing their stadium-shaking spectacle back home. The band wrapped up their Cleveland show in May before launching straight back into a massive European run that kicked off in Prague on 26 June, hitting everywhere from Estonia to Scotland.

The current lineup sees founding member Angus Young tearing up lead guitar alongside vocalist Brian Johnson, rhythm guitarist Stevie Young, drummer Matt Laug and bass player Chris Chaney.
Melbourne punk rockers Amyl and the Sniffers scored the support slot for all dates, riding high on their critically acclaimed album Cartoon Darkness. Each city also gets its own local support act – The Casanovas in Melbourne, Large Mirage in Sydney, Oscar The Wild in Adelaide, Southern River Band in Perth, and Headsend in Brisbane.
Power Up marked AC/DC’s sixth number one on the ARIA Albums Chart when it dropped in 2020, proving these rock veterans haven’t lost their touch. The setlist will likely span their entire 17-album catalogue, from Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap through to their latest thunderous offerings.
