Rob Aspinall is a Melbourne-based Alt R&B artist, multi-instrumentalist, and producer blending R&B, neo-soul, jazz and hip hop into rich, emotionally resonant soundscapes. Drawing inspiration from the likes of Hiatus Kaiyote, Jordan Rakei, and D’Angelo, his sound is defined by lush instrumentation, complex progressions, and a refusal to play small when it comes to his arrangements.
Originally from Canberra, Rob has performed alongside acts such as SAFIA, Lucy Sugerman and Koebi Faumui, with live appearances from The Bergy Bandroom to Gold Diggers in Los Angeles, and festival slots including Floriade’s NightFest. His previous releases, including Dorilla and I Don’t Mind – the latter receiving airplay on CADA State of the Culture – laid the groundwork for a bold new chapter rooted in Melbourne’s vibrant scene.
