Following the release of single What They’ll Be (receiving airplay across ABC Country, Tower of Country, Grass Roots, Triple J Unearthed Radio and community radio stations across the country), Thompson is continuing a run of live shows across Melbourne with a night of expansive alt-country, roots and Americana-inspired songwriting.
Thompson writes with a reflective, quietly searching voice — balancing the familiar with the unknown. There’s a subtle grounding in Home We Know, a maturity in What They’ll Be, and a more dreamy pop-infused influence on Calling Me, the singer-songwriter continues to demonstrate his writing versatility flirting with cross-genre influences with the utmost confidence.
