Introducing Comedy Republic’s Replay Festival.

Comedy Republic’s Replay Festival is rebooting a bunch of the best local comedy shows from recent times.

Featuring Melbourne International Comedy Festival 2021 best show nominees, Ivan Aristeguieta, Michelle Brasier, Nikki Britton, Luke Heggie and David Quirk, alongside a selection of this year’s brightest talents and sell out shows, the inaugural Replay Festival will go down at Comedy Republic in the CBD from Thursday July 22 until Saturday August 14.

  • It all goes down at Comedy Republic across three weeks in July and August

Keep up with all the fresh comedy news, reviews and interviews here.

Some of the other names set to appear include Anna Piper Scott, Blake Freeman, Emma’s Debutante, Charlie Zangel, Hot Department, Josh Earl, Nina Oyama, Scout Boxall and Sami Shah.

The 2021 Replay Festival stands as the perfect opportunity for punters to appease that longing regret of missing a show, or to do it all again, reminiscing and recapturing a set that left a mark on them from the festival just gone.

“Every year I have that ‘wish I’d seen it’ feeling in the aftermath of [one of] Melbourne’s great festivals,” Comedy Republic co-owner Kyran Wheatley says. “I always intend to see everything – but sitting on the couch can be so tempting. So a season of encores seemed like the perfect fix, one more chance to get off our collective ass and see the best shows of the year.

“Comedy Republic has been a proudly independent venue for Melbourne International Comedy Festival and Midsumma so far this year, and look forward to hosting many other festival shows in the future. We’re excited to call Replay Festival our own though, giving another run to our pick of the very best, unmissable comedy shows.”
