Community radio station SYN FM is at risk of closing down after 20 years of platforming young people's voices.
In a bid to save the cherished community radio station SYN FM from the brink of closure, Ramona Sky, the city’s indie funk-rock sensation, is taking center stage with a vibrant fundraiser show.
The event, set to groove its way into the hearts of music lovers, will take place at The Tote on November 4, 2023.

After an urgent call to action from SYN FM, the Ramona Sky crew promptly rallied a formidable lineup of four bands, united by a common cause – to rescue SYN FM from the shadows.
Boasting a community of nearly 300,000 monthly listeners and a dedicated team of 300 volunteers, SYN FM has been a bastion of support for local music and a powerful advocate for youth issues throughout Victoria. It’s been the stage where aspiring artists have celebrated their first radio airplay and where young voices have resonated with audiences.
Ramona Sky’s fundraiser show will see all proceeds donated to SYN FM, and attendees will have opportunities throughout the night to contribute to this vital cause. Joining forces with Ramona Sky on this musical journey are local acts Pretty Moi, Munchy Dolphin, and Barefoot Spacemen, all of whom draw inspiration from the soulful sounds of funk, soul, and psych.
