Platinum-selling American alternative rock quartet Rainbow Kitten Surprise have announced their long-awaited Australian headline tour, with three dates confirmed across Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney for early 2026. The North Carolina-based group will make their return to Australian shores following a transformative period and the upcoming release of their new album bones.
Rainbow Kitten Surprise will bring their triumphant live show and deeply personal songwriting to Australian audiences after a year of sold-out amphitheatres across North America. The tour follows the critical acclaim surrounding their 2023 album Love Hate Music Box, their first release in six years, which marked their creative re-emergence.

The genre-defying group has built a global cult following through magnetic, emotionally charged performances that showcase frontwoman Ela Melo’s vocal power alongside soaring guitar work. Their recent single Dang demonstrates the band’s continued evolution, blending dynamic instrumentation with their signature emotional depth.
Multiple presale opportunities will be available for fans wanting early access to tickets. Those who pre-order the bones album before Friday, 8 August at 7am will receive exclusive codes for the album preorder presale, which runs from Friday, 8 August at 10am until Tuesday, 12 August at 10am. Secret Sounds presale access begins Monday, 11 August at 11am, while Mastercard cardholders can access presale tickets from Friday, 8 August at 10am.
General public ticket sales commence Tuesday, 12 August at 11am local time across all cities. The venues chosen reflect the band’s preference for intimate settings that allow their emotionally resonant material to connect directly with audiences.
Rainbow Kitten Surprise spent the past year performing over 100 headline dates internationally, including three nights at Colorado’s Red Rocks amphitheatre and performances at prestigious venues including Radio City Music Hall and the Hollywood Palladium. Their festival appearances have included major events such as Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, Outside Lands and Austin City Limits.
The band will also appear as special guests supporting Ocean Alley at outdoor shows in Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney, bringing their music to larger festival-style audiences alongside the intimate headline performances.
All headline shows are restricted to audiences 18 years and over, with Sydney’s Enmore Theatre operating under licence AA regulations.
