The year’s last Winter Night Market is on this week

Winter Night Market

It's your last chance to head on down to the famous Winter Night Market.

Ahh, the end of winter – I don’t have to spend the morning scraping ice off my car, I only have to wear two jumpers instead of three and my hands don’t turn white when I ride my bike around. The only bad thing about the arrival of spring is that we must now say goodbye to the Queen Victoria Market’s beloved Winter Night Market. A staple of the bitterly, oh so bitterly cold Melbourne winters, they’re holding their last market of the season on Wednesday, August 31, from 5pm ’til 10pm.

What you need to know

  • The Winter Night Market is holding its last market of winter at Queen Victoria Market tomorrow
  • It ran every Wednesday for 14 weeks
  • Say farewell on August 31, from 5pm ’til 10pm

Stay up to date with what’s happening in and around Melbourne here.

Free to enter, The Queen Victoria Night Market is here to supply you with warm beverages and cosy comfort food to warm you from the inside out.

Enjoy spicy dumplings, cheesy pasta, smoked meats and decadent deserts at this convivial and vibrant bazaar, while exploring the Market’s open-air sheds and laneways. They’re also providing mulled wine, warmed spiced cider and hot toddies to keep you warm while you peruse the artisanal merchandise on sale. With the full line-up of stall holders is currently in development, there’s so much more delicious food and drink to look forward to.

As always, artisanal goods can be found at the Night Market – from handmade soaps and skincare to jewellery and art, there’s something for everyone to discover amongst the eclectic and charming selection.

With live music sets being performed on the main stage of the Night Market, audiences will be treated to a diverse selection of entertainment. But that’s not all – this winter, roving musicians and other acts will weave in-between the crowds, performing to the guests of the Night Market while they eat and shop.

Goodbye, adieu, so long, farewell to Queen Victoria Market’s Winter Night Market (for now). Find out more about what the Queen Vic Market has on by heading here.
