Define your genre in five words or less:
Funk Rock
So, someone is walking past as you guys are playing, they then go get a beer and tell their friend about you… what do they say?
“Those guys were fucking amazing, sounded really different! Was like Red Hot Chili Peppers and Faith No More but with their own twist”.
How long have you been gigging and writing?
We formed in December 2010, had a few garage jam sessions and started gigging in March 2011.
What has been your favourite gig you’ve played to date?
We played in a Battle of the Bands in Fawkner back in May. It’s always good to see people you don’t even know right up against the stage dancing. Was good sound on a big stage, so we really got to jump around.
Which band would you most like to have a battle/showdown with?
Any band like Good Charlotte, just to show people how terrible they are. And the band that plays that Jetlag song…
What inspires or has influenced your music the most?
Funk rock is a genre that has a lot of different elements to it, so being able to go up on stage and be different and quirky every time makes it an enjoyable experience every time. That, and sexual frustration.
What do you think a band has to do these days to succeed?
That depends on what you define as successful. We’d say hard work, commitment and passion. Knowing a lot of people helps too. And money. Lots and lots of money.
Do you have any record releases to date? What? Where can I get it?
We recorded our first EP back in early June and we’re throwing a massive, drink til’ you drop launch this week. All you need to do to get your hot little hands on one is to turn up and party hard while we jump around on stage.
Why should everyone come and see your band?
Because we’re different. Very different. Funk rock isn’t around a lot these days, and we give it our all every gig. We have a pretty diverse range of songs too so there’s always a song for everyone.
