Melbourne hardcore veterans Mindsnare have announced the upcoming release of two new 7”s. Each record will feature two new tracks, plus a cover of Motorhead’s Mean Machine and Destruction’s Mad Butcher. Pre-orders are available now from Resist Records for a limited run of 200 copies, with an official release date of Friday March 10. The releases will be their first since the band’s 2011 split 7” with Ringworm.

Philadelphia hardcore band Open City, featuring members of Ceremony, Lifetime, Ted Leo and the Pharmacists and Bridge and Tunnel have announced the release of their debut album. Showcasing their brand of fast and aggressive noise-rock influenced hardcore, their album is available to stream now on the band’s Bandcamp page and LP pre-orders are available through Resist.

Bad Brains frontman H.R. is reportedly set to undergo brain surgery this month. A long-time sufferer of cluster headaches, a debilitating condition that has left him essentially housebound. A GoFundMe page has been set up to assist with medical fees. A documentary on his life, Finding Joseph I, was released last year.

Sydney fastcore lords Disparo have announced the upcoming release of their new full-length entitled Hands in the Middle. Due for release on Wednesday March 1, three tracks are currently streaming on their Bandcamp page.

American noisy trash punks Downtown Boys have announced the upcoming release of their second album. Due to be released later this year on Sub Pop, the album features former Fugazi guitarist/vocalist Guy Piccioto on production duties. The band released their debut album Full Communism last year to critical acclaim.

Former Cro-Mags bassist and occasional vocalist Harley Flanagan has announced he has formed a new band. Called Hard-Core, they will release their debut EP later this year, with a portion of the proceeds going towards funding the upcoming medical expenses of Bad Brains frontman H.R.

Pakistani hardcore three piece Dead Bhuttos have released their debut EP on their Bandcamp page. It totally rips. The band has promised physical copies on tape, CD and vinyl in the near future. Get amongst it.

Singer/songwriter and former Loved Ones frontman Dave Hause has released a stream of his upcoming full-length album. Entitled Bury Me In Philly, the album will follow up 2013’s Devour. The new album is available for streaming now via AV Club.
