Former At the Drive-In guitarist and founding member Jim Ward’s post-ATDI project Sparta have announced the release of a new single, their first output since 2012. The new track is entitled ‘Graveyard Luck’, available to stream online now. Ward has reportedly stated that there will be a new album and touring on the way next year.

A 40th-anniversary reissue of Ramones’ seminal 1977 album Rocket to Russia has been announced by reissue and archival specialists Rhino Records. Arguably the band’s strongest and most cohesive effort, featuring some of their best known songs and the debut of drummer Marky Ramone, the reissue will feature a remastered and remixed version of the album, plus alternate takes and unreleased tracks from the album sessions. Notably, the album will feature a ‘tracking mix’ of the album – a stripped down raw version of the takes more closely resembling how they were recorded straight to tape in the studio with minimal studio processing. The reissue will be available next month via Rhino Records.

Reunited Boston hardcore legends American Nightmare (also known as Give Up the Ghost) have released a teaser video via Rise Records with the word ‘February’. It’s a fair assumption that is referring to the release of a new album, marking the first release of new music from the band since 2003’s Give Up the Ghost. The band broke up shortly after, however reunited in 2011 and have played a handful of shows each year.
