Prince Alla To Play The Espy

Born in Kinston, Jamaica as Keith Blake, Alla has appeared on and recoded more than 30 albums in his 40 year career.

Alla’s career began with vocal group The Leaders who recorded three trakcs for producer Joe Gibbs. When The Leaders broke up Alla continued to work with Gibbs. In the mid-1970s and released a number of recordings that are now regarded as roots reggae classics, such as Sun Is Shining, Bucket Bottom, Lot’s Wife and Stone.

Continuing interest in Alla’s work saw the release of two albums of material from the 1970s, Only Love Can Conquer and I Can Hear The Children Singing.
