Fresh off the back of premiering their new single ‘Insecurities’ on triple j, Melbourne punks Press Club have revealed they’ll be hitting the road for an east coast tour this May.
A creative machine, Press Club write in bulk before whittling down their tracks for an album – for every single they realise, there are another five Press Club tracks that don’t see the light of day.
So, when the band were approached by German publication Visions magazine to submit a single to their annual CD compilation, alongside the likes of Marilyn Manson, J. Mascis, Ty Segall and IDLES, Press Club had no shortage of tracks to choose from.
Their most melodic track to date, ‘Insecurities’ sees the band incorporating elements of power-pop and folk sensibilities into their hard and fast punk sound, all paired with raw, visceral lyrics exploring self doubt and insecurities.
To celebrate the release, the band will hit the road in May for a six-date tour of the east coast.
