Australia’s only ricotta festival, hosted at That’s Amore Cheese headquarters, will be a family-friendly affair offering an array of activities and treats for all ages. With a stellar lineup of Melbourne’s favourite chefs, including Guy Grossi, Darren Purchese, and Andrea Cozzolino, the festival is gearing up to be bigger and better than ever.

Upon arrival, guests will be greeted with a serve of hot ricotta, setting the tone for a day of exploration through food stalls, drinks bars, and local marketplace vendors.

The aroma of fresh ricotta will guide visitors to a culinary wonderland featuring Sicilian-style charcoal BBQ, woodfire pizza, ravioli, cannoli, and much more. This year brings a host of new vendors, promising an even more diverse and delicious experience. As for the drinks, expect Italian wines, spritz, beer, barista coffee, locally distilled spirits, cocktails, and a variety of soft drinks.

This year, the festival introduces a brand-new demonstration and masterclass stage, hosted by Cameron Smith, where culinary experts will showcase their skills:

  • Giorgio Linguanti & Dario di Clerico: How to make ricotta & ricotta cannoli
  • Guy Grossi with his son Carlo: Orecchiette with zucchini & ricotta
  • Darren Purchese: Ricotta, Almond and Plum Cake with yoghurt
  • Andrea Cozzolino: Pizza
  • Pia Gava: Ricotta Gnocchi
  • Charlie from Puopolo Artisan Salumi: Salumi masterclass

Entertainment will be a key focus, featuring live performances by Siesta Cartel Band, dancing by Melbourne School of Tarantella, modern beats by DJ Stefano Marciano, and live crosses by 3AW throughout the festivities.

Families are in for a treat with a petting zoo, a mobile play centre, face painting, and the Carlton FC footy van adding an extra layer of fun with goal kicking and prize giveaways.

The Ricotta Festival doesn’t end at the venue, as Local Marketplace vendors will be selling an array of delectable treats to take home.
