Misfit Melbourne rockers The Velvet Addiction reveal their new single ‘Lost In The View’ today, a taste of their forthcoming EP, Volume 2.
The Velvet Addiction formed in true rock’n’roll style, bonding after a boozy night out before making their debut and attracting attention from the likes of MTV and RAGE. The band’s debut EP, Volume 1 – featuring singles such as ‘Take Me Back’, ‘I Won’t Go’ and ‘Stuck On You’ – was well received to say the least, leading the four-piece on sold-out tours in Australia as well as landing them on international stages.
Their latest effort, ‘Lost In The View’ sees the band fusing a classic ’70s rock’n’roll inspired sound with their distinctly Aussie vibe. Melding raunch and groove with rhythmic riffs and an ear-worming chorus, ‘Lost In The View’ promises good things to come on Volume 2.
To launch the new single, The Velvet Addiction will be hitting the road on a seven-date tour with Californian punks BobbyrocK next month, which will see them taking the stage in Geelong, Melbourne, Brisbane, Byron Bay, Newcastle and Sydney, as well as a secret location yet to be revealed.
The Velvet Addiction will drop their new EP Volume 2 on Friday August 17. In the mean time, check out ‘Lost In The View’ below:
