Melbourne garage-punk outfit, The Attention Seekers, have revealed a gritty new film clip for their equally dirty single, ‘Heathens and Whores’ — the second glimpse of the band’s sophomore EP, Knee.
Directed and produced by Steven J. Tandy (The Story), the clip for ‘Heathens and Whores’ was filmed in Bacchus Marsh, Victoria and follows the dramatic tale of false prophets and their blind followers. The single’s manic energy is matched in spades by the film clip, the heavy lyrical content of the track further intensified by the cinematic value and twisted storyline its visual counterpart.
A cultivation of punk, blues and funk, the new six-member lineup of The Attention Seekers sees the band evolving from their previous release, Itchy. Blending punk riffs with pop melodies, Knee is catchy, frenetic and unapologetically bold.
To launch the film clip, The Attention Seekers will hit the stage at Foxxy Dolphin with support from The Gronks and Mad Sampson on Saturday July 28. Check out the film clip for ‘Heathens and Whores’ below.
