Port Fairy Folk Festival announces second artist line-up for 2023

The magical four-day festival returns in March 2023 with a huge lineup of brilliant artists.

Returning to the glorious setting of the music-loving coastal village for its 46th edition from 10-13 March, the 2023 Port Fairy Folk Festival has unveiled a second taste of what we can expect from the four-day event in March next year, dropping a huge second lineup.

With limited early bird tickets now on sale, the festival will feature the likes of much loved national artists in Ajak Kwai, Anna Smyrk, Baby Velvet, The Badloves,  Claymore, Colin Lillie, Eastbound Buzz, Grigoryan Brothers, Josh Pyke, Liz Stringer, Norwood, Rebecca Barnard and Peter Farnan perform the music of Joni Mitchell, as well as international favourites including Blue Moon Marquee from Canada, Tim Easton, Judy Collins and Ian Noe from USA, While and Matthews from England, Niamh Regan and Dani Larkin from Ireland, and The Langan Band from Scotland.

This huge line-up of artists will join 19-Twenty, Billy Bragg (USA), Eric Bibb (USA), Gina Williams & Guy Ghouse, Inn Echo (CAN), John Smith (ENG), Mary Coughlan (IRE), Steve Poltz (USA), and The Waifs for this spectacular seaside festival.

Announcing the second artist line-up, Port Fairy Folk Festival Program Director Justin Rudge said that next year’s Folkie is shaping up to be one of the best yet.

“We’ve searched the globe to find the best musicians to perform at the 2023 Folkie and I’m proud to share this line-up which really celebrates world music.

“The Folkie is a place where songs and stories are shared and this announcement builds on that history, including extraordinary homegrown talent right through to the leaders of the folk music revolution. Our diverse program means there’s something for every music lover, right here in Port Fairy.”
