This night invites 2 pianists to the stage to explore the piano as a solo pianist and the rare chance to play together with another pianist.
It is encouraged to share and converse about approaches, ideas, harmony and more.
Spencer Hughes
Spencer Hughes will be performing a range of his compositions from pop to afro-cuban styles. He is an artist who experiments in improvisation to inform his compositions. No performance is the same. This special performance at Ragtime Tavern will be the debut of his solo material from the past decade.
Jordan Greene
Jordan is a Jazz pianist studying jazz and improvisation at Monash university. Rooted in the tradition of ragtime and stride, Jordan will showcase a variety of tunes from jazz standards and free improvisation to straight ahead ragtime.
