Watch one of Australia’s most popular wildlife attractions from your couch.
Phillip Island Nature Parks will be live streaming its world-famous Penguin Parade nightly from Tuesday August 25.
The spectacle, in which Phillip Island’s little penguins swim to shore after fishing in the Bass Strait and waddle across the beach back to their burrows, is usually a ticketed event which draws tourists from around the country and beyond.
Due to the current restrictions in Victoria, the nightly parade of thousands of little penguins will be live streamed so you can watch from home. Broadcast via the Phillip Island Nature Parks Facebook page and YouTube channel, the Penguin Parade will be free to watch featuring expert commentary.
The 30-minute stream will run each night from 6pm, with the opportunity to ask the Rangers questions in real-time.
“This is believed to be the world’s first live stream of a natural wildlife event at a regular time, with expert commentary – so it’s certainly one you won’t want to miss!” said Phillip Island Nature Parks on Facebook.
Tune in at 6pm from Tuesday August 25 on Facebook or YouTube.
