“Pawn & Co. ‘Buy Sell Loan’ has been — and continues to be — such a successful venue that it regularly sees line-ups till 5am,” reads a statement from the venue.
“The problem is that it all might end far too soon. You see, there’s a hotel development set to take the place of Pawn. We aren’t suggesting the new hotel won’t be great, in fact, we think it will probably be awesome. We just want the development to include Pawn & Co, our beautiful venue that we love so much.”
The venue has asked the community for support, rallying club-goers to sign their petition and explain why Pawn & Co needs to be saved.
“We want to group together with the community to help put forward a petition that shows the hotel developers that it would be incredible for them and the community to include our wonderful venue in the new hotel complex,” said the venue.
“What an awesome way to have the old and the new come together; the new hotel complex with one of Chapel Street’s favourite and most iconic establishments.”
