They'll be playing the material of New Order and Joy Division.
The legendary Peter Hook & The Light will be coming to Australia next year to the excitement of English post punk and new wave fans across the country.
The bassist and founding member of Joy Division and New Order will be carrying the torch of his former bands by playing both of their Substance compilations sequentially and in their entirety.

Released in 1987, New Order’s Substance is the band’s most successful album to date. Featuring unforgettable tracks including Blue Monday, Bizarre Love Triangles and True Faith, the record was the predecessor of Joy Division’s compilation of the same name.
The following year, when Joy Division’s Substance dropped, it received wild success and acclaim from both critics and fans. It peaked at number seven on the UK album charts and featured singles that have stood the test of time such as Love Will Tear Us Apart, Komakino, Transmission and Atmosphere.
Since the separation of his former bands, Peter Hook has been keeping busy on the road keeping the iconic music alive. He was last in Australia in 2022 touring Joy Division’s albums Unknown Pleasures and Closer.
Throughout his storied career, he has penned books on his time with the bands, released solo albums and even launched a music master’s program at the University of Central Lancashire. Fans can expect a mesmerising evening when he comes to town in May.
