Perfect Tripod : Australian Songs

The combination of Eddie Perfect and Tripod is hot chocolate for the ears and a couch for the soul, warm and comforting. Australian Songs sees the beloved musical comedians teaming up to tackle a songbook of Aussie classics and some that deserve to be classics.

After almost two decades of performing together the men of Tripod have an easy repartee of playful antagonism, which Perfect seamlessly integrates into, giving as good as he gets. The foursome stroll on stage, beers in hand, and after a short Waltzing Matilda go straight into the Australian Crawl classic Errol.

From that point on it is their own potted history, swapping well-known tracks with the more obscure and newer such as Claire Bowditch or The Reels. The Lanie Lane track Oh Well, That’s What You Get For Falling In Love With A Cowboy with Eddie Perfect taking the lead was a standout. Perfect’s bass vocal duties were stunning and overall the singing from the Tripod fellas was impeccable too.

Australian Songs is a bang-on crowd pleaser.
