The Australian folk icon hits the road alphabetically.
Following yesterdays announcement that Paul Kelly will performing at Hanging Rock with Leonard Cohen, Australian folk fans are rejoicing with the news that Kelly is taking his A to Z shows back on the road again.
The A to Z shows are a series of intimate acoustic performances spread over four consecutive nights which see Kelly perform one hundred songs of his own songs alphabetically. Kelly’s memoirs, released three days ago, are broken up into one hundred alphabetical chapters each containing the lyrics and story behind one of his songs.
The tour, which kicks off in November and extends through to April 2011, and sees Kelly performing at the Athenaeum Theatre in Melbourne from Wednesday March 2 until Saturday March 5. Tickets on sale Friday October 8.
