Watermelon Boy takes his tropical beats to paradise at Cloud 9 Fiji
Australian tropical electronica darling, Watermelon Boy, has released a new mixtape showcasing his boogie-licious performances at Cloud 9 Fiji.
The DJ and producer has developed a special relationship with the iconic floating bar since first visiting in 2016 as part of Your Paradise festival, and has since returned multiple times a year to perform.
This fresh mixtape showcases some of his favourite beats from Africa to the Pacific with a combination of original tunes and specially curated moments, check it out!

Located on the Malolo Barrier Reef, Cloud 9 Fiji offers the perfect backdrop for Watermelon Boy’s tropical sound palette.
The setting perfectly complements his musical style, which blends amapiano, laid-back afrobeats, dancehall, moombahton and Pacific electronic music.
His performances create the ideal soundtrack for guests enjoying the venue’s snorkelling, swimming, pizza and cocktail offerings.
The new mixtape features a combination of original tracks and specially curated moments, accompanied by footage of Watermelon Boy performing at the newly renovated venue. Epic drone shots capture the stunning reef location, accessible via daily ferry rides from Port Denarau, Nadi, or a quick 10-minute speedboat ride from local resorts.
The 16-track mixtape spans music from Africa to the Pacific, featuring tracks with artists including Zee Nxumalo, Bassie, Divine Earth, and local Pacific musicians like Christonite Boginikua and BigWilz.
Standout tracks include Watermelon Boy originals Outdoor Shower, Glistening Sand, and Memories, alongside remixes of Gyakie’s Days Pass By and Kali Tui’s Dei.
