The event blends line dancing, funk and disco sets, and those cringey family Christmas photos you’ve been trying to forget since 1987. Disco Rodeo’s Kitty and Lu will lead the boot-scooting action, teaching everyone how to line dance like their lives depend on it. DJ On Milk takes care of the soundtrack, spinning everything from funk and disco through to eighties bangers and noughties hits. Local MC Shiralee Hood keeps the whole thing rolling.
Photographer Karin Locke is setting up Awkward Portraits, complete with the worst Christmas jumpers imaginable. Kids can duck into Bec’s Tree House Art School pop-up for some hands-on craft activities while the adults are busy making questionable fashion choices.
The whole thing is free and doesn’t need booking, so you can rock up with your mates whenever you feel like embracing the festive weirdness. Cowboy boots optional, but highly recommended.
