The team behind NYE on the Hill has announced The Last Hill, the festival's final edition after 23 parties on the Farm.
NYE on the Hill is closing the gate for good, with organisers announcing one final New Year’s on the Farm.
The Last Hill lands on 30 December 2026. NYE on the Hill started back in 2009 as an invite-only shindig for a handful of Melbourne bands and their mates, and this New Year’s marks the 23rd Party on the Hill before the organisers wrap it up.

More than 600 bands and over 2,500 musicians and performers have played the Hill across its run, plenty of them stepping onto a festival stage for the first time. Numbers on site have always been capped at 3,000, which is the entire point of the place.
The festival grew out of The Hills Are Alive, the semi-secret friends-of-friends gathering the same crew ran before NYE on the Hill took over the site. The Hills Are Alive Group has framed the final year as going out on a high rather than letting the thing fade off.
Ball Park Music tops the farewell bill, with The Rions, Old Mervs and Pacific Avenue underneath. The full lineup runs past 30 acts, among them Boy Soda, Darcie Haven, Mid Drift and Milo Eastwood, plus a triple j Unearthed winner still to be named.
Every previous edition has sold out well before the gates open, so the last one is unlikely to sit around. Tickets are moving through Moshtix, and the weekend runs three days and two nights, BYO with licensed bars, camping on the property and cars kept away from the tents.
