OK Rochester transforms Rochy Shire Hall into Hall of Friendship for one-day celebration on 18 October.
OK Motels is set to return to Rochester with their unique festival experience that blends music, community connection and regional charm. The event transforms the local shire hall into the Rochy Hall of Friendship for a day-long celebration that emphasises making new connections and strengthening existing relationships.
OK Rochester offers an eclectic mix of activities designed to foster community spirit and friendship. Festival-goers can participate in Marry Your Friends ceremonies, create personalised zines and badges, and enjoy Tell Your Friends You Love Them Speed Friending sessions complete with Devonshire tea served by locals. The programming also includes Friend Fortune Telling and Disco Rodeo line dancing lessons.

Beyond the main venue activities, the festival extends throughout Rochester with Sip Shop experiences showcasing local wineries, breweries and distilleries. Participants can enjoy drinks while browsing the newsagent or exploring Sportspower, and take guided mural walks to discover the town’s artistic heritage.
The festival promises an international musical lineup featuring artists from Canada, the United States and New Zealand, alongside interstate performers from the Northern Territory and New South Wales, plus local Victorian talent. The day concludes with the OK Headliner Diner, an outdoor dining and performance experience.
Accommodation options include fancy camping tents, local motels, and the return of the sleeper train service from Southern Cross station. Local food vendors will provide everything from Lions Club snags to the famous steak sandwich from Rochester Fish Shop.
OK Rochester receives support from the Victorian government through its Regional Events Fund, highlighting the state’s commitment to regional cultural events that strengthen community connections.
