Norwegian-Swedish quartet Kalandra will bring their ethereal Nordic folk-rock to Australian shores this November.

Blending melancholic folk traditions with gritty guitars and hauntingly beautiful melodies, Kalandra has spent over a decade refining their unique sound. The band, led by vocalist Katrine Stenbekk, has built a devoted following through their immersive sonic journeys that weave fragility and fortitude into each performance.

Their recently released second album, A Frame of Mind, showcases their evolution with expansive songwriting that explores themes of belonging, memory and resilience.

Kalandra tour dates:

  • Amplifier Bar, Perth – Wednesday 19 November
  • Stay Gold, Melbourne – Friday 21 November
  • Oxford Arts Factory, Sydney – Saturday 22 November
  • The Brightside, Brisbane – Sunday 23 November

The four-piece has shared stages with acclaimed acts like Wardruna, Leprous and Eivor while earning praise at major European festivals including France’s Hellfest and Norway’s Midgardsblot. Their musical reach extends beyond traditional performance spaces, with their work featured on the soundtrack to the Kingdom Two Crowns: Norse Lands video game.

Kalandra’s viral cover of Wardruna’s Helvegen has amassed nearly 6 million YouTube views, further cementing their reputation for creating music that resonates with audiences seeking something beyond conventional folk or rock offerings.

Australian crowds can expect a dynamic performance rooted in Norse folk traditions, progressive rock structures and Scandic pop sensibilities.

The debut Australian tour comes at a pivotal moment in Kalandra’s career, following the critical success of their 2020 debut album The Line and continued growth of their international fanbase.

Presale tickets will be available from Wednesday 2 April at 9am AEDT, with general tickets on sale from Friday 4 April at 9am AEDT.
