Every Friday night from June 4 until October 1, NGV will host pop, rock, and indie musicians and DJs within its Great Hall.

Featuring an all-Melbourne music lineup, NGV Friday Nights will bring the likes of Eilish Gilligan, Solomon Sisay, Alice Ivy, Squid Nebula, GL, Husky, Bananagun, Eternal Crush, Ali Barter, Akosia, and Olympia to the stage.

Visitors will also have the opportunity to walk through the French Impressionism exhibition after-hours and glimpse works by Claude Monet, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Edgar Degas, Camille Pissarro, Mary Cassatt, and more, 79 of which have never been seen in Australia before now.

A French-inspired menu will also feature as part of the experience, with a selection of fromage and charcuterie platters, pommes frites, croque monsieur, and parfait on offer, all to be washed down with a glass of champagne or cuvée.

“Late-night access to French Impressionism from the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston offers Melburnians a French-style escape during the heart of winter with an impressive line-up of live music performances, DJs, and French-inspired dining,” said Tony Ellwood AM, Director, National Gallery of Victoria.

With this NGV Friday Nights series we are proud to be supporting Melbourne’s live music scene and the local talents this great city has to offer.”
