A new study shows that drinking two beers is a more effective way to ease pain than dabbling with codeine or paracetamol-based pain killers.
Researchers (aka alcoholic nerds) at the University of Greenwich found a blood alcohol content of .08 percent produced a small rise in the pain threshold.
“Findings suggest that alcohol is an effective analgesic that delivers clinically-relevant reductions in ratings of pain intensity,” reads the study.
I, for one, am glad that the scientific community is finally putting their talents to good use.
