Blue Basement will be officially open to the public from next February. To announce the new club, Albert has teamed up with the world famous Birdland in New York City, aiming to replicate the venue’s place in the global jazz scene.

Birdland New York has hosted the world’s Jazz greats such as Chet Baker, Nina Simone, Billie Holiday, Miles Davies, George Benson, Herbie Hancock, Thelonious Monk and Charlie Parker.

The original Birdland New York opened in 1949 and became the mecca of New York’s jazz scene, host to iconic music greats, such as Frank Sinatra and Judy Garland, before closing in 1965.  Current owner Gianni Valenti reopened Birdland in 1985.

Blue Basement will be a 200 seat, dinner and a show ampitheatre-style venue, catered by a full service Italian restaurant. The venue will feature local and international talent weekly with two shows a night.
