This month Fairfax Studio presents Peter Burgess’ new musical theatre piece RAWK.
A two person only show, RAWK is the story of a controversial metal rocker’s influential lyrics and how they take their toll on a young fan’s life. Burgess intention, both with the storyline and the music he has composed to accompany it, was to make a show that “could be played on Triple J.”
RAWK is part of Carnegie 18, a new series of musical theatre, featuring four different showcases.
Starring Michael Russo and Zen Ledden, RAWK plays at The Fairfax Studio (The Arts Centre) Wednesday January 19 – 21 from 6:30pm and Saturday 22 at 2:30pm.
Tickets are $15 and can be found at theatrecentre.com.au.
