Entering its 13th year, the annual festival will once again feature a stellar lineup of more than 60 acts performing in over a dozen venues. This year’s first announcement includes Irish singer-songwriter Brain Kennedy, a Scottish folk ensemble made up of graduates from Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, Cherry Grove and Scottish harp duo The Duplets.
As usual, the festival will play host to a bounty of local talent, including A Rose and Thorns, Aine Tyrell, The Barleyshakes, Helen McLachlan, Moondance Van Moorison Tribute Band, Zeon and many more.
And when its time to take a break from all of that dancing, visitors will have the chance to wrestle a viking or encounter a Loch Ness monster.
Since its inaugural event in 2002, the National Celtic Festival has grown from a small coastal town gathering into the largest and most diverse celebration of Celtic music and culture in the southern hemisphere.
